Tracy Hurren and fellow experts discuss Tove Jansson & The Responsibility of Children’s Literature at Brooklyn Public Library on June 27th
On Friday, June 27 at 6:30pm authors, illustrators and editors come together at the Brooklyn Public Library to unpack Tove Jansson's influential work and consider the field of children's literature more broadly as an invocation into citizenship. M.T. Anderson, Lauren LeBlanc, Dr. Raquel Ortiz and D&Q co-owner and VP of Editorial Tracy Hurren will raise important, even difficult questions on how we initiate our youngest into life in society, and what the roles and responsibilities of children's literature must be. RSVP to attend this talk here.

This program is presented by Brooklyn Public Library in partnership with Moomin Characters, Moomin Arabia, the creator of the world-famous Moomin mugs that have become cherished collectables, Finnair, one of the world's oldest airlines, and the City of Tampere, home of the world's only Moomin Museum.

The Brooklyn Public Library is located at 10 Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn, NY 11238.
