The latest from Nick Drnaso, whose Sabrina was the first Booker-longlisted graphic novel, uses a deadpan, quick-cut drawing style to explore loneliness, paranoia, and the subjectivity of “truth.” The story follows an acting class led by a peculiar man whose lessons carry beyond the curriculum. It’s all very mysterious, kind of creepy, and extremely suspenseful. —Elena Goukassian
