The Unquotable Trump Supports the ACLU

When R. Sikoryak’s The Unquotable Trump was published by Drawn & Quarterly in 2017, 25% of net proceeds were earmarked for donation to the American Civil Liberties Union. Today, Drawn & Quarterly is pleased to announce that a donation of $11,000 USD has been made to the ACLU, the only civil rights organization to defend the voting rights of all Americans including specific focuses on fighting voter suppression and minority vote dilution.

“I’m very proud that we’ve raised so much for the ACLU through the unfortunate circumstances of my “Unquotable” book,” Sikoryak, cartoonist of 2020’s Constitution Illustrated, said. “We all benefit from the ACLU in different ways— in fact, my first copy of the Constitution was one of their pocket-sized booklets that I received many years ago.”

“Handselling The Unquotable Trump over the past three years, I have seen the powerful impact of Bob’s satire and the language of comics to fully articulate just how horrible Trump’s rhetoric is.” said Peggy Burns, D+Q Publisher. “We are happy to be able to support the ACLU in the invaluable work they’re doing.”

Once remaining stock of The Unquotable Trump has been sold, the book will go out of print and Drawn & Quarterly anticipates making another donation of approximately $3,000 USD.
