Chris Ware Covers THE NEW YORKER.

    |

Obviously, for many reasons, I ADORE this spot-on cover Chris Ware did for this week’s NEW YORKER! For their website, Chris uncovers for us his past cover artists for the magazine that have inspired him most. He puts obvious favorites such as Peter Arno and Charles Addam aside and points out that the artists he finds himself thinking about are mostly midcentury female artists, including Edna Eicke, Mary Petty and others. They have a decidely different feel to their covers Definitely take a look at the slide show.
