Join us for a guided tour of the Brooklyn Public Library's newest exhibition, Tove Jansson and the Moomins: The Door Is Always Open, that explores the queer Finnish author’s impact on children’s literature and social-emotional learning through her beloved Moomin characters, bold political cartoons and reflective adult literature.

The author’s niece, Sophia Jansson, will lead an intimate tour of the exhibition, sharing reflections on the legacy of the Moomins internationally and within Tove’s world. The Door Is Always Open offers a rare opportunity in the U.S. to step into Jansson’s creative universe through immersive installations, archival materials, multilingual editions of her books, and public programming for all ages.
