Join Katie Fricas as she discusses Checked Out with NYPL Librarian Rachel Crook for the 7 Stories Up's Comic Book Club. An aspiring cartoonist and book lovin’ lesbian, Louise works a dead-end day job at a shoe store, where she spends most of her time brooding over a coworker who will never quite love her back. By night, she works diligently and obsessively on her graphic novel—the true story of a carrier pigeon who rescued a battalion of soldiers in WWI. To join the event in person | Doors will open 30 minutes before the program begins. For free events, we generally overbook to ensure a full house. Priority will be given to those who have registered in advance, but registration does not guarantee admission.
